Incumbent House members historically have a
~93%
success rate to win their re-election campaigns. Therefore, the best chances to
successfully introduce politicians with a new agenda are for seats where the incumbent is
not up for re-election. There are currently
House members who resign as incumbent at the end of this term.
Flip Opportunity points out House members who are not
running for re-election. If an incumbent with an
anti-crypto sentiment retires, then
there is an opportunity for a pro-crypto candidate
to flip that seat, and vice versa.
